SPIN

SPIN - Consorzio di Ricerca in Tecnologie dell'Informazione e della Comunicazione scrl (www.consorziospin.it) is a non-profit consortium operating since 1996 in the field of ICT and Technology Transfer. Spin is based in Cosenza, one of the main cities of the Calabria region, in the south of Italy.

As to innovation and technology transfer, Spin has actively participated to several regional innovation projects, such as RIS and RIS+ Calabria (1997 - 2001, ERDF Innovative Actions), for the creation of the 1st Regional Innovation Plan in Calabria. Since 2001, Spin has been involved in the implementation of an Industrial Liaison Office (LiO) at the University of Calabria and it is also a member of the Innovation Relay Centre IRC MED.I.A. to provide trans-national technology transfer services in the region.

Spin is also particularly interested in the usage of ICT for cooperation, training and technology transfer. Since 2000, Spin has developed SUWEB, a web-based system working as a One-Stop-Shop for the public administration. In addition, by extending a web platform dedicated to the diffusion of research results (CONTACT - 1998), Spin has implemented INFOWEB a co-operative web platform for the diffusion and exchange of information. Recently, Spin has implemented an on-line E-magazine that is being used by schools, vocational training courses, local development and innovation agencies, local administrations, etc.

Spin will contribute to the design and development both of the quality framework and the training material; the design, implementation and management of the web-based support for the delivery and valorisation of the training material and implementation of the quality framework; the valorisation of project's results at national level.
